Grants are available to help pay for your bachelor's degree.

Now is the chance to pursue the degree you've been waiting for. WGU and Fast Track are helping Missouri students start their education and get a bachelor's degree. This grant could help you change your life by potentially paying your FULL tuition. You don't have to repay grant money, and the Fast Track Grant is applied to your tuition and fees after government assistance is used, which could result in no out-of-pocket costs or a free degree!

What is Fast Track?

The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant is a new financial aid program for adults beginning with the 2020–21 academic year. The grant addresses workforce needs by helping adults pursue a certificate, degree, or industry-recognized credential in an area designated as high need.

Who is it for?

  • Missouri residents who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Recipients who will maintain Missouri residency and work in Missouri for three years after graduation. Individuals who do not meet this criteria risk the grant becoming a loan that must be repaid with interest.
  • Individuals who are 25 years or older or individuals who have not been enrolled in any school within the last two years.
  • Students who have not earned a bachelor's degree and are planning to enroll part time or full time.
  • Individuals who make no more than $80,000 filing jointly, or no more than $40,000 per year, filing any other tax status.

When and how do I apply?

Applications and awards are available throughout the year. Your first steps are to complete the WGU Missouri application and the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). There are no deadlines for the application or FAFSA, but both must be completed before a student can receive an award. The Fast Track Grant doesn't need to be paid back, and could end up paying for your entire tuition and fee amounts. Grant funding is on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait, apply now before funds run out!
