Posted Helmet liner to prevent brain freeze on Ideas
Hey We.Retail ! I was wondering what you thought of my suggestion: a helmet liner to cover the space between your forehead and goggles. Do you know what I mean? I have seen those helmets that have a big visor connected, but those always fog up on me. I want to be able to use my own goggles with your Kawartha Snow Helmet but I always get brain freeze. What if you had a 1-2 inch strip of felt or some other material that can be attached to the inside of the helmet that you could fold down and place your goggles over? That would really help keep you warm on those really cold days. On those warmer days, all you would need to do is fold it up and it is out of the way! |

Pinetree gloves
I bought these gloves and on the packaging it reads, "The Sequoia are made of a fully reinforced, singular kevlar structure that disperses impact across multiple nerves between the vents for maximum protection." It doesn't say anything specific about an impact rating, like a numerical value, but I hope that helps.

Posted Remember to protect your head! on Winter Sports
I hate to be the pesky person that tells you to wear your helmet, but I unfortunately know someone who spent a lot of time in the hospital due to a skiing accident. She absolutely could have come out of the whole thing in a lot better shape if she had worn a helmet.

Electric Boots
Not a gimmick, people. They work. I was concerned enough about my toes to buy some when I hiked Kilimanjaro last year (Josh I hope you're reading this). You generally begin your summit hike from the highest base camp around midnight so that you summit at sunrise. The air is a little easier to breathe at night so there is a method to the madness. Anyway, it can actually get below zero, so I snagged some electrics. I was by far the most comfortable hiker at 4:00am when it got really cold. I had them on high and ran through the battery in four hours, but the warmth stuck around for another few hours which was perfect because then the sun started coming up by then.
