On July 9, 2013, Governor Haslam launched the Drive to 55 and signed legislation that established WGU Tennessee. Since then, WGU Tennessee has grown to the third-largest private, nonprofit university in the state (based on full-time enrollment), and has conferred nearly 3,000 degrees to alumni across the state.
WGU Tennessee students, alumni and faculty are thanking Gov. Haslam and Tennessee’s General Assembly for launching the Drive to 55, and for believing in WGU’s model, by signing an online thank-you letter.
