I think what could’ve helped the BAELED program would have been more mandatory guidance for the EDTPA. It really truly took over my life getting everything done in a single semester: the EDTPA, student teaching, all of the observations. It was quite overwhelming and I devoted all of my attention to the whole semester! I think that mandatory weekly meetings with your mentor should be implemented throughout your student teaching semester. There’s no such thing as too much student support!
