“Towering Dreams” bring a grad full circle.

Celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week with Heather Ben-Judah's story.

By Jake Riddell, WGU Washington

Right now, close to 5,000 graduates of WGU’s Teachers College live and work in Washington – and nearly 4,200 more are currently enrolled. That’s a remarkable number of Night Owls celebrating with us during Teacher Appreciation Week.

We’re proud of all of them and the outstanding work they’re doing to build a brighter future for their communities and our state. Each of them deserves appreciation and thanks.

Among the Night Owls who have answered the call to teach is Heather Ben-Judah. Heather earned a bachelor’s from WGU Washington in 2016. After graduating, she quickly obtained a teaching position in Poulsbo, the town in which she was raised. She shared the moving story of her path to her passion and the wonderful educator that inspired her to achieve her dream.
